SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
The alpha-1-antitrypsin is a glycoprotein responsible for the activity of normal serum antiproteolytic. It is synthesized primarily by hepatocytes but also by human histiocytes and monocytes from peripheral blood. This antibody reacts with alpha-1-antitrypsin human protein while offering cross-reactivity with horse, pig, dog and rat.

APPLICATIONS:
This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human alpha-1-antitrypsin using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
This antibody can be useful in the study of hereditary deficiency of alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, benign and malignant liver tumors, embryonal carcinomas and a variety of benign and malignant lesions with histiocytic origin.
