SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
Cytokeratin 19 is a member of type I acidic subfamily of intermediate filaments. It is expressed in various different human tissues except in liver. Keratin 19 is not expressed in hepatocytes, therefore, antibody to keratin 19 is useful in the identification of liver metastasis.
Isotype: Mouse IgG1 kappa
Immunogen: Detergent soluble extract of human mammary epithelium.
Staining pattern: Cytoplasmic.
Positive control: Tissue sample from colon carcinoma.
This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human Cytokeratin 19 using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
