SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
Gastrin is a polypeptide hormone which appears naturally in the forms: gastrin-14, gastrin-17 and gastrin-34. This antibody reacts with non-sulphated and sulphated forms of gastrin-17 as well as gastrin-34.
Staining pattern: Cytoplasmic.
Positive control: Tissue sample from stomach.
This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human gastrin using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
The antibody reacts with the gastrin producer cells or their analogous form in gastric carcinoma and in stomach G cells hyperplasia.
