Description

SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
hGH is produced by the somatotroph cells in the pituitary. hGH acts through binding to membrane receptors that belong to the cytokine receptor superfamily. Ligand binding induces receptor dimerization and activation of the receptor-associated kinase: JAK2; these results in phosphorylation of the kinase itself, of the receptor, and of many cellular proteins including the Stat proteins as well as adaptors leading to the activation of the Ras/MAP kinase pathway and of the PI-3 kinase pathway.

Clone: GH01/#2 + GH02/#7
Isotype: IgG2a/kappa + IgG2a/kappa
Immunogen: Purified recombinant human growth hormone.
Staining pattern: Cytoplasmic.
Positive control: Tissue sample from anterior pituitary.

APPLICATIONS:
This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human hGH using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
