SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
EcoNova Taq DNA Polymerase is a thermostable high quality recombinant enzyme derived from an E. coli strain that carries an overproducing plasmid containing a modified gene of Thermus aquaticus DNA Polymerase. It is able to withstand repeated heating to 95°C without significant loss of activity and the estimated half life at 95°C is 1,5 hours. The enzyme is ~94 kDa by SDS-PAGE catalyzing 5'→3' synthesis of DNA. The enzyme has no detectable 3'→5' proofreading exonuclease activity. It is the latest developments in polymerase technology and buffer chemistry to enhance PCR speed, yield and specificity. The enzyme and buffer system allow for superior PCR performance on complex templates such as mammalian genomic DNA.
EcoNova Taq DNA Polymerase is provided with 10 fold concentrated (X) reaction buffer that contains PCR enhancers. This reaction buffer will enable or improve sub-optimal PCR caused by templates that have a high degree of secondary structure or that are GC-rich.
EcoNova Taq DNA Polymerase has an error rate of approximately 1 error per 2,5x105 nucleotides incorporated.
